A facelifted version of the Skoda Rapidhas been spotted with some minor bits of camouflage. The car gets most of its external changes in the front while the cabin is expected to get an updated feature list.
The face will get Skoda’s new moustache grille and sharper headlights, similar to the ones seen on the international spec vehicle. The side profile and rear remain the same as the current car. The cabin is expected to get updates along the lines of what is offered with the recently updated Vento. This means the car gets a new Mirror Link touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera option, centre arm rest and dual tone interior. Also included in the list will be rain sensing wipers and auto dimming IRVMs.
We expect no changes to the engine and gearbox lineup. This means a 1.6-litre petrol with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The diesel on the other hand is a 1.5-litre unit producing 103bhp and can be had with a five-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG. Expect a launch later this year with a minor revision in prices.
