SKODA Auto India, the Czech automaker and a complete subsidiary of Volkswagen India is endeavouring to go leaps and bounds to prioritise the customers’ preference in the Indian auto market. The automaker is providing an exclusive and limited period scheme of offering its customers an opportunity to upgrade to own the premium and classy sedan, Skoda Rapid on an EMI of Rs. 9,999 sponsored by SKODA Finance, a wing of Volkswagen Finance Private Limited.

Mr. Joern Achim Kurzrock, Chairman of the Managing Board, Volkswagen Finance Private Limited, commented on this limited period offer, saying, "The offer comes at a time when the auto industry is witnessing a contraction in demand. At affordable EMIs of Rs. 9999, this offer will make it easier for consumers to make the transition from a hatchback to a sedan. The novel scheme, launched under our brand SKODA Finance, is a first of its kind in the Indian market, with a sedan being made available for as less as Rs. 9999 per month."

However, the offer is restricted to only purchase of base variant of the petrol powered Skoda Rapid Active 1.6 MPI MT and the buyers are liable to pay the EMI for tenure of 48 months. At the end of the stipulated tenure, the buyer will have to pay an amount equivalent to Rs. 1,38,000 as balloon payment, a final large lump-sum amount after payment of the subsequent EMIs.

In a bid to perk up the sales of the petro variant of the subcompact sedan, SKODA Rapid, the automaker has played its cards to conveniently convert the hatchback owning sedan enthusiasts to avail the rare opportunity.
