Fresh reports from Auto Build has revealed that Czech automaker Skoda has been working on building a new seven seater cross-over named Skoda Kodiak. The crossover is believed to be based on the company’s MQB platform. The production version is likely to be previewed at the 2016 Paris Motor show. Post launch, the new model could be positioned over the Skoda Yeti. It is believed that the new crossover could be built at company’s facility in Czech Republic.
Detailed report on technical specs, features and cost is not known for now and may be known during 2016 Paris Motor show. It is believed that apart from front-wheel drive option, the vehicle could also be offered with an all-wheel drive system. Engine options could range between 1.4-litre to about 2.0-litre in petrol as well as diesel options. The automatic trim could get 7-speed DSG while the manual version may get six-speed option. The vehicle could be offered with a seven airbags and offer ABS as standard.
