Facing high demand for the Karoq, Skoda has put it into production on a second line and this time at their main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The SUV is already being produced at their plant in Kvasiny also in the Czech Republic. Obviously for a manufacturer to start production of a car on a second assembly line means that it is facing high demand from various European markets where it sells the car.

The Karoq is Skoda’s second SUV in the new generation and was unveiled in October 2017. It slots in below the Kodiaq in their line-up and will be a part of a larger SUV family that Skoda plans to introduce over the next five years.

The car is coming to India and possibly by the middle of this year. It will be offered with both petrol and diesel power and fit into the slot where the Yeti left off. This means it will GO up against cars like the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson both of which are five-seat SUVs in the upper parts of the D-segment.
