This third generation Superb was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and is based on the Vision C concept that has been showcased earlier. It uses an evolutionary design which has new elements like sleeker headlights, revised moustache grille and slightly lowered stance. The side profile has flared wheel arches while the rear gets wrap around tail lamps and minimalistic badging.

The cabin gets all the usual luxuries but has now been trimmed out in shades of brown and black in the international market but for India it will be a beige affair. The Indian market will get the 1.8-litre petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel. The former produces 150bhp/250Nm while the latter does 138bhp/320Nm of torque. Both engines are likely to be offered only with a seven-speed DSG.

When launched in India, the Skoda Superb will compete with the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Honda Accord and the Volkswagen Passat.
