Skoda Auto India, in what can be considered as a smart and agile move, has introduced four variants of its renowned car Fabia on Friday. The new versions namely Active and Active Plus would be available in both petrol and diesel options, while the other two variants, Active Plus and Ambition Plus would be introduced as the packaged versions. However, each variant would be affixed with a 1.2 litre engine.
"The new variants are based on market and customer feedback and are aimed at providing an enhanced value experience," the company was quoted as saying on Friday.
The German car maker claims that the packaged versions would offer buyers, a scope of exploring and using facilities that are provided by factory fitted packages that comprise a number of convenient features.
If the price tags are taken into consideration, it seems that majority of buyers would be satisfied. The petrol variants are priced at Rs. 4.39 lacs and Rs. 4.59 lacs for Active and Active Plus respectively. The variant Ambition would be available at a price of Rs. 4.85 lacs while its packaged version, Ambition Plus will carry a price tag of Rs. 4.99 lacs.On the other hand, the diesel variants are priced at Rs. 5.46 lacs and Rs. 5.66 lacs for Active and Active Plus respectively. The other version i.e. Ambition is priced at Rs. 5.94 lacs and the Ambition Plus would be available at Rs. 6.08 lacs.
Thus, Volkswagen AG confirms to be an active participant of the competition that is ubiquitous in the Indian auto market.
