Performance focused cars have always been a hot topic of discussion amongst car enthusiasts. Ahead of their anticipated launches over the next few months, the six-performance test mules were spotted testing internationally. Read on to find out the details of the same.

Aston Martin Vanquish

The new Aston Martin Vanquish had been spotted on test at the German Nurburgring race circuit last month. The new super GT is tentatively slated for a reveal later next year or early 2019. Power will come from Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12. The engine returns 600bhp in the DB11 but will deliver significantly more in the Vanquish as the car’s main rival will be the 789bhp Ferrari 812 Superfast.

Chevrolet Camaro

The new Chevrolet Camaro has been spotted on test in the US. Based on what can be seen, the car will get a new front fascia, restyled tail lamps, new-design alloy wheels and a new rear diffuser. It is believed that the current engines will be re-tuned to make considerably more power in the new application. It is also believed that the new model might get the new 10-speed automatic transmission as standard throughout the range.

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Ahead of its anticipated launch in 2019, the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible was caught testing near GM’s Milford Proving Grounds. It is believed that the vehicle will get tweaks to the existing four, six, and eight-cylinder engines. As for the interior, the convertible is expected to get an updated infotainment system.

Alpina XD3

Alpina has been spotted testing the performance treatment to the new XD3 which is expected to be launched in 2018. The sporty crossover would be powered by another interpretation of the in-line 6 bi-turbo diesel, probably pumping a little over 350bhp. Along with driving performance, traction and efficiency from the older model, the newer model will offer high driving position and good daily usability.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8

Back in October, we spotted the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 at the German Nurburgring race circuit. This is indeed the most powerful street-legal car ever created by Jaguar and will be limited to 300 units. The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 will be powered by a 5-litre V8 engine which generates 591bhp of power. The powertrain is capable of launching the all-wheel-drive model from zero to 100kmph in 3.3 seconds and is capable of attaining a top speed of 320kmph.

Nissan GT-R Nismo

The new Nissan GT-R Nismo has been spotted on test at the German Nurburgring race circuit. Although the test mule looks a lot similar to the current generation model, reports indicate that it will generate better performance figures. The current generation model is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine that generates 600bhp and 651Nm of torque, and a healthy increment is expected over these numbers.
