      Shanghai Motor Show: Honda takes curtains off Concept D

      Japanese car maker Honda has gone ahead to take covers off its Concept D vehicle at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The firm had released a teaser of the vehicle in the March and has followed it up with an unveiling at the esteemed motor show.

      Designed specifically keeping requirements of the Chinese market in mind; this crossover has a bold appearance and is likely to attract a lot of youngsters. The front fascia of the Honda Concept D has a complex design featuring a huge grill, large bumper with daytime running light strips and colossal vents. Also, daytime running lights employ LED technology, which lends a futuristic appearance to the car.

      Side profile of this car comprises protruding wheel arches along with oversized skirts, which makes it look unique. The rear part of Honda Concept D comprises C-shaped LED tail-lights, air breather at the rear bumper and roof-mounted spoiler.

      Honda Concept D comes fitted with 2-inch wheels that are covered with 285/45 tyres. Other features of this concept car include bronze coloured body and recessed door handles. Experts have been speculating regarding the mechanical configuration of this car and some feel that Honda Concept D is likely to come with an electric motor.

      According to a statement by Honda, the Concept D is a preview to a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) that will be produced and sold just in the Chinese market. Adding further, Honda said that this car will be its flagship model in China and will come with several advanced features.
