S&T Motors Corporation, a South Korean manufacturer of two-wheeler, launched its Hyosung brands of superbikes in India in collaboration with Pune-based Garware Motors. The Hyosung brands of 650-700 cc bikes have been shelved in the price bracket of Rs 4,75,000 to Rs 5,69,000 (ex-showroom-Delhi).
Speaking on the occasion, S&T Motors' president Taekwon Kim said, "We have analyzed the market very closely and we foresee a great potential for the superbike segment in India."
The company has rolled-out two superbikes in the Indian market that comprises of GT650 R and ST 7. The ST 7 model is a 700cc cruiser bike that has been launched with a price tag of Rs 5,69,000 (ex-showroom-Delhi). On the other hand, the GT650 R model is a 650 cc bike that has been offered at a price tag of Rs 4,75,000.
Speaking to the reporters, Diya Garware, managing director of Garware Motors, said, "It gives us immense pleasure to be the first Indian company to launch superbikes in the 650-700 cc segments. We see significant potential for these new bikes in India."
The company will start the booking of the model in the Indian market from 20th of April. The bikes will be started to deliver to the customers from the month of June.
