Royal Enfield in an attempt to gain a stronger presence in the Indian market has reportedly been working on a 500cc variant of its popular model Bullet Electra. This would offer potential customers more option to choose from rather than the conventional 350cc variant. The bike could be powered by 499cc single cylinder, four stroke, air cooled engine carried from the Bullet 500. The engine comes mated to 5-speed transmission that generates about 25bhp of power at 5100rpm and 40.9Nm of torque at 3800 rpm.
