Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the British luxury automobile manufacturer, is all set to appoint fourth dealership in India. After New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai the company will open its fourth showroom in Chandigarh during the second quarter of 2012.

The new Rolls-Royce showroom will be managed by the Select Cars Private Limited. This group had earlier been assigned to operate the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Delhi. The company’s decision to open fourth dealership proves the fact that Rolls-Royce is looking forward to expand its business in India. The British automotive giant has also appointed Head of Business Development for the sub-continent.

As per the statement given by Paul Harris, Regional Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Asia Pacific, “We have made no secret of our ambitions in India, a market with a century-old association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Strategically we have identified Chandigarh as the perfect place to enter the next phase of expansion in India. We have already seen a healthy amount of interest from Chandigarh based customers and I have every confidence in the potential of this highly important territory.”

Advanced infrastructure in Punjab as well as in Haryana has prompted Rolls-Royce to open its new showroom in Chandigarh. Yadur Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Select Cars Private Limited, stated that Rolls-Royce is confident of achieving success in Chandigarh as well. According to Herfried Hasenoehrl, Head of Business Development, India is like a second spiritual home for Rolls-Royce and the company will be initiating new and unique policies for further penetrating the domestic market.
