Ford India has launched third phase of its "Road Service Assistance" program for its customers in India. With the launch of third phase, Ford shall be able to cover atleast 60 percent of Ford customers in the country. The service is currently available in 13 cities now including Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Jaipur. The main aim of the Road Service Assistance program is to provide a hassle-free driving experience in the city to the Ford owner. This program has already been present in nine major cities of India including metros.
Ford currently has a fleet of two types of vehicles that includes flat bed trucks and motorcycles to facilitate ready assistance to car owners in India. Ford customers have complimented the concept of car being carried in flat bed trucks rather than being towed. The flat bed trucks would take the cars to the nearest repair shop without any damages due to towing. The Road Assistance Service is available 24/7 to its customers at a national toll-free number.
The service offers immediate minor on-site repairs, fuel delivery, jumpstart to batteries, assistance for unlocking the cars, etc. The program has been extremely successful in Delhi, NCR, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune.
