Ford Figo, one of the most popular compact hatchbacks in the Indian market, has achieved yet another milestone by crossing the key sales mark of 1 lakh units in the country. The car has been appreciated for its high fuel economy and a number of reliable features, and the Figo model won the ‘Indian car of the year 2010’ award for its impeccable performance and superior technology. Not only in the domestic market, but in the foreign market too, the Figo performed considerably well.
Since its launch in Feb 2010, the Ford Figo has been among the most preferred compact segment hatchbacks in the country. The car has been receiving an overwhelming response since then. At present, the Figo model is available in the price range of Rs 3,59,500 - Rs 5,48,900, where it is competing with the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Volkswagen Polo, Nissan Micra and Fiat Punto.
The Figo model is available in both petrol and diesel versions, powered by a 1.2L, 1196cc, SEFI engine and a 1.4L, 1399cc, Duratorq diesel engine, respectively.
The occasion was marked by the cutting of a ceremonial ribbon by Ford India’s MD Michael Boneham, followed by roll-out of a Colarado Red coloured Figo.
