      Renault to launch Triber in India tomorrow

      Renault Triber

      Renault India is all set to launch the Triber in the country tomorrow. Bookings for the model have commenced from 17 August for an amount of Rs 11,000 at all dealerships of the French brand.

      Powering the new Renault Triber will be a 1.0-litre, three cylinder, petrol engine that is tuned to produce 71bhp at 6,250 rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. This engine will come paired to a five-speed manual transmission as standard. Renault has also announced an AMT variant although it would be launched later.

      Underpinned by a modified version of the CMF-A platform, the Renault Triber will feature faux skid plates, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, flared wheel arches, roof rails and wrap-around tail lights.

      Inside, the Renault Triber will come equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, engine start/stop button, eco drive mode, cooled glove box and Ac vents and 12V charging ports for all three rows. The model is expected to be launched with a price tag of approximately Rs 5-7 lakh. Rivals to the Triber will include the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Ford Figo and the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
