Sources have revealed that Renault India operations has currently altered its production process to accelerate the deliveries for its Kwid.
Sumit Sawhney, MD and CEO of Renault India, has pressed that the Kwid’s production is in full swing. This has been done to bring down the waiting time for its popular hatchback. Renault added that they have come up with a third shift at the Oragadam factory in Chennai, and the increase in the production process will aid the car maker to facilitate faster deliveries to consumers who have been waiting for the car. They added that the present waiting period stands at 3-4 months. Renault also revealed that the company has about 59,000 bookings for the Kwid.
Renault is positive that it will meet the demand for its hatchback quicker with the rise in production. It will also help the company meet its projected monthly production target of 10,000 units. Renault’s plan to bump-up the dealer network from 210 outlets to 270 by the end of 2016 will also act as a catalyst to keep its goals on track.
