Renault has been swiftly gaining popularity in the Indian Automotive industry owing to brands enormous success with the Duster compact SUV. Owing to huge popularity in the local market, Renault has recently launched the All-Wheel Drive trim of Duster. The Duster AWD is currently available in RxL and RxZ trims, wherein the RxL variant is priced at about Rs 11.87 lakh and the RxZ variant is tagged at about Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom price).
By early next year Renault has also been planning its very first MPV rechristened as Lodgy for the Indian market. Based on assumptions, the new Renault Lodgy shall be powered by 1.6 Liter petrol engine, whereas the diesel variant shall be powered by 1.5 Liter engine. There is no update from Honda stating a possibility of an automatic transmission being used in the new car, hence for now the vehicle shall be launched with a manual transmission. The K9K engine generates a decent power output of about 84 HP.
Renault India has not spoken about in detail about the Lodgy MPV and for now it is only known that the MPV shall be slightly smaller than the Innova MPV. For the interiors, the upcoming vehicle may sport dual color scheme in brown and beige. The seven seater Lodgy MPV is expected to be priced around Innova MPV in the country.
