      Renault has decided to position themselves at a center stage for the 2014 Auto Expo event by unveiling its concept car, Duster upgrade, Fluence and Koleos face-lift, and one new A-Entry car. Renault is currently tight-lipped about the concept version. Unlike other carmakers the company has not yet released specifications or images about the car. So it would rather be interesting to see in which segment has Renault been working upon.

      The Fluence sedan shall make a comeback with interesting cosmetic uplifts. The sedan features new bumpers and has been a bit tweaked at the rear. The front grill has been reworked and the featured company logo is now bigger than before. Overall, the car looks bigger and bolder than before. Primarily, the sedan has been upgraded with a cosmetic makeover, whereas the technical specifications have been retained.

      The face-lifted version of Renault Koleos shall be showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo event. The car is expected to be powered by 2.0 litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, that generates about 23 bhp. The car features a new grill and boasts of eye-catchy styling upgrades on the lines of global Renault design language.

      Renault Duster has always been the preferred choice ever since its inception in the country a while ago. The SUV during its launch, was offered at a lucrative price tag, with add-on factors like quality build and reliability assurance by the carmaker. Gone are the days when Renault Duster had to compete with Ford Ecosport, off-late many other car-makers have attempted to tap this compact SUV segment with much vigor. As per sources, the new car is expected to be powered with 1.6 litre engine that generates about 105 Hp at 5,750 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 148 Nm at 3,750 rpm. It is also said that the car may feature double optic headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and a redesigned front grill with new air intake system. On the interiors, seats have been redesigned for better comfort and the dashboard features a smarter appeal. It is worth noting that this year is slated for new launches of highly anticipated cars like the Honda Vezel and XA Alpha, its definitely a right time for Duster to come out with an upgraded version.

      In 2012 Auto Expo, Renault had stated about launching a hatchback. As per sources, the project was codenamed “A Entry” and supposedly shall be powered by 800 cc engine. The car is aimed to create a stir in the lower level segment which has been ruled by Tata Nano and Maruti Suzuki Alto 800. Renault has been working has been working on the car at the Renault-Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Private Ltd (RNTBCI).
