      Most often when the brand name Renault crops up, people instantly connect it to Duster, a popular compact SUV from French automakers production line. Speak about Renault's Pulse and many would be left recollecting a car that they have seen but do not remember. To begin with Renault's Pulse shares striking resemblance with Nissan's Micra hatchback. Renault's Pulse is available in three petrol and two diesel variants. The petrol trim is offered at a starting price tag of Rs. 4.42 lakhs, whereas the diesel trim is offered at a starting price tag of Rs. 6.16 lakhs.

      The petrol trims of Renault Pulse is powered by 1.2 Liter, 3 Cylinder, in-line Petrol, DOHC 12-valve engine that generates 76 Ps of power at 6000 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque. The Electronic Fuel Injection Control in petrol engine comes mated to a five speed manual gearbox. The diesel trims of Renault Pulse is powered by 1.5 Liter, 4 Cyl, in-line Diesel, 8V SOHC engine that is capable of generating 64 bhp of power at 4000 rpm with 16.3 Nm of torque output. The Common Rail Diesel technology has been mated to a five speed manual transmission.

      Renault Pulse built on Nissan Micra platform also features premium hatchback qualities. Legroom and headroom is impressive, and the rear seats also get adjustable headrests. The higher trims gets smart features like climate control and electronically folding mirrors. The dashboard features some common features as seen with Micra in India.
