The much-awaited Renault Lodgy MPV has been launched in the Indian car market at Rs. 8.19 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings for the MPV have already begun at a token amount of Rs. 50,000. It will rival against the likes of Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio, Nissan Evalia and others in the MPV segment. The vehicle is available in both seven- and eight-seater options; the seven-seat version gets comfortable captain seats for second row passengers.
The MPV shares its engine mechanics with the popular Duster SUV. It is powered by the tried & tested 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 85PS and 200Nm of torque. More powerful variant also gets the same engine, but it is tuned to offer 110PS of power and 245NM of torque. The less power model is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the top-spec model is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The Lodgy car is claimed to return an impressive 21.04kmpl of mileage with 85PS motor and 19.98kmpl with 110PS unit.
Dimensionally, the Renault Lodgy MPV is 4498mm long, 1751mm wide, 1697mm tall and it comes with a large wheelbase of 2810mm. The suspension system comprises of McPherson Strut with anti-roll bar upfront and Torsion beam with anti-roll bar.
The Renault Lodgy MPV is equipped with a various comfort and convenience features. Feature list include electrically adjustable ORVMs, air conditioner with cabin filter, roof mounted AC vents for 2nd & 3rd cabin, power steering, Auto-pinch front & rear power windows, height adjustable drivers' seat with armrest, on board trip computer, cruise control, speed limiter, etc. It also features Touchscreen MediaNAV with AUX-in, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
For passengers’ safety and security, the MPV has Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Brake Assist, Driver & Passenger airbags, engine immobilizer, central locking, rear parking sensors with camera, etc.
