Renault Kwid facelift launched in India at Rs 2.83 lakhs

Renault India has launched the facelifted Kwid, with prices starting at Rs 2.81 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The model will be available in six colour options and eight variants. Engine options will include a 0.8-litre petrol motor and a 1.0-litre petrol motor while transmission options will include a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit.

On the outside, the Renault Kwid facelift features a new bumper, split headlamp design, LED DRLs, new three slat grille, faux skid plates, 14-inch Volcano Grey wheels, roof rails, integrated roof spoiler, C-shaped LED tail lights and side body cladding.

Inside, the facelifted Renault Kwid comes equipped with a fully digital LED instrument cluster, eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Voice recognition and reverse parking camera with guidelines. The model receives safety features in the form of dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, high-speed alert and traffic assist.

Powertrain options on the Kwid facelift include a 0.8-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. The former is capable of producing 53bhp and 72Nm of torque while the latter produces 67bhp and 91Nm of torque. These engines are paired to a five-speed manual transmission as standard while an AMT unit is available with the 1.0-litre variant. The model is available in six colour options including Zanskar Blue, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue.
