Renault Koleos, the upcoming luxury sports utility vehicle in the Indian market, was recently caught testing in Chennai. The Koleos model is scheduled to be launched in the country in upcoming festive season, and it will be rolled-out in the price segment of sub Rs 20 lakh, where it will be taking on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V, Nissan X-Trail, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Captiva and Mitsubishi Outlander.
The all new Renault Koleos is expected to come blessed with all new interiors in the Indian market. The car is currently available in a number of foreign markets in both petrol and diesel versions. The car comes with three engine options in the international market including 150 bhp diesel, a 175 bhp diesel and a 170 bhp petrol version. The SUV is expected to be launched in the Indian market with both two-wheel drive (4X2) and four-wheel drive versions (4X4).
Taking a look at the spy shots of rear door of the new Koleos, it carries an aggressive and bold design. The Koleos model is expected to come blessed with a series of new age safety and performance enhance features including Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), multiple airbags for both driver and passengers, Cruise Control, and many more.
It is to be mentioned here that Koleos will be the second car launch of Renault in this year as it has already debuted in the Indian market with the launch of its popular premium sedan Renault Fluence a few months back.
