      Renault Kadjar SUV officially revealed

      Renault, the French automaker, has officially revealed the all-new Kadjar SUV. The crossover will make its global premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. The Kadjar SUV will be positioned above the Captur and will be launched in the European and in African markets and Mediterranean Basin countries this summer, followed by UK and China.

      Renault said that the Kadjar “stands out through its fluid, athletic exterior styling”. Its interior offers both sportiness and refinement. This C-segment crossover will target buyers looking to upgrade from the Megane or the Capture. Moreover, it will be the first Renault vehicle to be locally manufactured in China.

      The Renault Kadjar crossover shares components and styling with the Captur SUV, while the design is inspired from the DeZir concept. It features soft lines, optional LED headlamps and a Clio like rear end. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 19-inch alloy wheels, while a complete underbody protection will be made available at an extra price. According to the company, the Kadjar crossover has a smart, comfortable and carefully appointed interior. It comes equipped with a completely a new features and completely new interiors compared to other Renault models. The crossover also features the R-Link 2 multimedia system.

      It is based on the CMF (Common Module Family) platform that also underpins the Nissan Qashqai. The Kadjar crossover will be offered in either four-or-two-wheel-drive configuration. The exact engine specifications of the crossover are yet to be announced, further details on the car will be revealed during the Geneva Motor Show.
