Renault Scala sedan and Pulse hatchback though have been a great offering in the Indian market, it failed to evoke enough customer interest. Based on reports released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), in May 2014 Renault India produced about 183 units of Scala whereas in October 2014, about 59 units of Pulse were rolled off from its production line. Since then no new units have been produced and shall continue to sell the existing stock. Reports suggest that the company may launch the face-lifted trim of both the vehicles sometime soon.
As per reports Renault India witnessed a 53% drop in sales with 1,646 units of Pulse sold in a period between April to January 2014-15. Whereas, for Scala sales have dropped by 74% with 1,177 units in the same period. The company is yet to reveal plans for the face-lifted trim and more details about it shall be known at a later date.
