Renault Fluence, which could not succeed in luring too many buyers, is all set to start its second innings with the launch of its facelifted version in 2014. Renault had recently unveiled this facelifted car and showcased it in Istanbul on November 2, 2012. Fluence facelift, which is expected to be launched in India in the first half of 2014, will be shown in the country at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
Riding high on the tremendous response its recently launched Duster SUV has received, the car maker hopes that the facelift Fluence will also be able to impress the buyers. The other cars from Renault in India include Scala sedan, Pulse hatchback and Fluence executive sedan. The car maker has big plans for the Indian auto market and is all set to expand its vehicle portfolio in the country.
The Fluence facelift comes with a completely new front fascia and a wider grille that is spread between the headlamps and houses the Renault lozenge. The car has also been provided with a new bumper and LED daytime running lights.
The interiors of the all new Fluence facelift has also been properly taken care of and has been provided with a new digital instrumentation and a new audio system, apart from a better upholstery. The car has been made hi-tech with hands free phone control, front as well as rear parking sensors and automatic parking brake. Apart from these, a touchscreen interface for telephony, navigation and audio has also been provided.
The car would come with a 115 bhp, 1.6 litre petrol engine mated to an X-Tronic CVT auto transmission. The other options that would be available include a 1.5 K9K diesel motor capable of churning out a power of 110 bhp and a 130 bhp 1.6 litre dCi engine. This new diesel engine is quite frugal and provides a decent mileage of 21.73 kmpl.
