      Renault Duster AWD launched in two variants, price starts at Rs 11.87 lakh

      Renault India has launched the Duster All Wheel Drive (AWD) variant in India today in two variants RxL and RxZ. The RxL variant is priced at Rs 11.87 lakh and the RxZ variant is tagged at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom price). Cosmetic upgrades are minimal and include new blacked out head lights in the front, alloy wheels coloured in grey render a changes look to the side profile and an AWD badging has been affixed. Tweaks made inside the cabin comprise of a new instrument console, touchscreen audio system and cruise control.

      The newly added variant in Duster range offers three driving modes including two-wheel drive, automatic and four-wheel drive, these three modes can be locked manually. Other than these driving modes, there is also an option of ‘eco’ mode that is vouched to increase fuel economy by almost 10 per cent. All the three aforementioned driving modes can be operated by a dial placed on the centre console.

      Renault has provided a separate suspension set up for enhanced off-road performance. Besides the all wheel drive Renault has also put on offer hill start assistance.

      Power is supplied through the same 1.5 litre diesel powertrain that powers the two-wheel drive variant. The 1.5 litre diesel engine good for 110 PS is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Renault claims that the new Duster AWD is capable of returning an excellent fuel efficiency of 19.72 kmpl.
