      Renault Duster 4X4 variant coming this festive season

      Renault India is developing 4X4 variant of Duster that is expected to be launched in domestic market by festive season. Besides this the company is also developing a number of vehicles for the domestic market which includes Lodgy MPV and a new unnamed small car. Duster’s sales were affected after the introduction of EcoSport in India last year. Hence this makes it a much needed launch aimed at Catalyzing Duster’s sales in India. Along with Duster 4X4, the company is also working on a facelift version of the SUV. Speculations are also doing the rounds that Renault could bring forth an automatic version of Duster, however there has been no confirmation yet on it from Renault.

      Renault revealed Duster facelift last year under Dacia badge that sported a number of features and tweaks such as a restyled grille, redesigned head lights and a revised air intake. Modifications made inside the cabin comprise of new upholstery, steering mounted audio controls among others. Renault will also incorporate a host of safety features in the SUV like electronic stability program, rear park assist and dual front airbags. These safety features will be offered as standard.

      Under the hood nothing changes and the SUV will continue t be powered with the same engines- a 1.6 litre petrol engine that is good for 102 Bhp and a 1.5 litre diesel engine outputting power in two states of tune- 84 Bhp and 110 Bhp. A five speed and a six-speed manual gearbox will be put on offer.
