Among the new car launches this year from the stables of French auto maker, Renault, new Duster 4X4 SUV is included, speculations also suggest that Renault could also bring forth Lodgy MPV in India. Duster 4X4 version is likely to be rolled out in domestic market by the end of this year. Duster 4X4 variant affixed with Dacia badge is manufactured at the company’s manufacturing plant located in Chennai from where it is shipped to other countries. For now, the company might first launch diesel trim of the SUV in India since the demand for diesel powered vehicles is more in India. The 4X4 variant is expected to be priced above the top-of-the-line trim in the Duster range.

Lodgy MPV could be the new offering in Renault line-up which is expected to be longer than Mobilio MPV, but might measure shorter than Innova. The MPV is already in sale in other international markets, in India the company is likely to bring petrol and diesel variants of the MPV. The suavely designed MPV is expected to be priced aggressively for the domestic market which means it could be a potential threat for the rest of vehicles in its segment. More entrants will be launched soon in the MPV segment including Honda Mobilio that is set to be launched in the month of July.
