Renault introduced the Captur crossover in the country last year. The vehicle was limited to a manual transmission option at the time of its launch. This time around reports has emerged that the company will launch an automatic petrol variant in the country next year. The vehicle is expected to be offered with a CVT unit from the Duster.

Changes will be limited to the automatic upgrade in the petrol version, while the rest of the features will be carried forward from the existing model. The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine that generates 105bhp of power and 142Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre K9K diesel generates 109bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. The petrol version gets a five-speed manual transmission, while the diesel version comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Speaking of features, the top-spec version of the Captur gets leather upholstery and touchscreen infotainment system with audio and navigation. The vehicle also gets features such as projector headlamps, a chrome grille, LED DRL and dual tone body colour option.
