Refreshingly new BMW X5 expected to be a hotseller in second half of 2014

Based on survey facts, BMW was recently awarded the highest rating in “Sales Satisfaction and Customer Satisfaction”. The facilitation event was held at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel in New Delhi on 11th March, 2014. The German car-maker has been in the country for quite a now and picked up an award when it was the first time that luxury cars have been considered for survey based on Sales Satisfaction and Customer Satisfaction rating in the country.

The BMW X5 has always been a popular SUV to be rolled out from the German car-makers production line for the Indian market. Banking on its popularity the BMW group had stated its plans to unveil a face-lifted version of its popular SUV. The vehicle is due to be launched sometime by the end of this month or early in June this year. The vehicle is being developed under the codename F15 and it is expected to be offered in five and seven seat layout.

News has been doing rounds that the company may usher in a forth diesel variant of the SUV that shall be equipped with 3.0 litre power-train that shall be the first in India. The 3.0 litre motor is capable of belting out a maximum power output of 258 Bhp. This is the same engine that currently powers BMW 530d and BMW 730d saloons. Bookings have begun for the face-lifted X5 and deliveries for the same are expected to begin by June.

The newer version of BMW X5 is expected to be lighter in weight as compared to the previous version. The interiors are expected to carry a refreshing appeal and feature enhanced dimensions. The newer version is expected to be brought in the market through the CKD route and shall be offered at a starting price tag of about Rs. 69 Lakhs.
