We,once again, caught a glimpse of Porsche’s refreshed Macan doing the rounds in Europe, and this comes after the last sighting in February that involved the car undergoing cold weather testing.

Since the Macan is Porsche’s most successful crossover, the car maker is eager to keep things fresh for buyers. We noticed that the new model has a tweaked front nose which incorporates new slim intakes on either ends of the front bumper, and an extra set of slats at the bottom. These upgrades highlight the need for more air to cool the engine bay. Furthermore, you can also spot the headlamps with new internals. Porsche has interestingly slapped on a black trim to the rear of this prototype, over the tail lamp section and the sheet metal in between, to mask the real design updates. Going by how the tail lamp cluster of the new Panamera and upcoming 911 is slated to be, we can guess what Porsche is up to here. It could be a sporty tail lamp extension that joins both tail lamps together.

Porsche’s Macan is a high revenue product in the company’s portfolio. This ideally means that the refreshed Macan could be introduced before the upcoming Cayenne and 911, to keep buyers attracted to the product. We will bring you more news regarding Porsche’s plans in the months to come, so stay glued to CarTrade.
