Uber, one of the largest ridesharing company of India, recently announced a reduction in fares. This company has been providing luxury cars for travelling through the cities of Pune, New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and many other metropolitan cities. Uber has announced a cut in fare in Mumbai region.
Uber announced that with these reduced rates, more number of people would prefer travelling with them. They also said that they have reduced the fares to such an extent that riding in an Uber or riding in a day taxi would cost almost the same price. No special coupons or coupon codes would be required by the passengers to avail this discount of up to 25%.
Uber has been providing such luxury experience while travelling in Mumbai for a long time now. Though termed as a temporary step, the authorities of Uber say that they would make it a permanent reduction in fare if they get a good response out of it! They are expecting a good response by the people of the City of Dreams.
With the launch of Uber Black, the fare of UberX was already reduced, and with this further reduction in fare, Uber is becoming easy on pockets of the local residents and tourists by meeting up their demands. Uber also announced a temporary Diwali benefit for a couple days, in which, there was a fare reduction of up to 30% in various cities of operation of Uber. Uber also motivated people to travel in their cars for their own good as they said that better the response, more are the chances of getting this scheme permanent.
