Some health issues and few family problems made a man go crazy enough to drive his car into the crowd and even stab a few people. This was a situation witnessed by the mayor of Graz, a place in Austria, where a man, 26 years old, drove his SUV into the crowd gathered to celebrate an event in association with the soon approaching Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Many people who came in with hopes of having a fun time at the event landed in hospital, a few of them in critical stage, while three reportedly died at the site. Many people witnessed this whole incident. The witnesses informed that the speeding SUV was over 100 km/h and people getting hit by it were either landing up on the bonnet or hitting the windshield.
After this brutal portrayal of his anger, the driver got out of the vehicle and started stabbing the survivors and even a few of the police officers who were trying to get a hold of the situation. He was finally put to rest and arrested by the officials. The mayor of the place also witnessed this situation and observed a lady being run over by the SUV. Post this event, the driver was taken into the custody, and the health issues and the family troubles he was suffering from were discovered.
To help the injured in reaching hospitals, that part of the city was sealed. 4 helicopters and about 60 ambulances were dispatched to the area so that the number of casualties could be reduced. After this disastrous incident, the mayor even passed an order to suspend any further celebrations and events related to the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix which came as shocking news for the residents as they were looking forward to all these celebrations. It is being speculated that the driver will be sentenced to a strict punishment considering the charges that will be levied upon him.
