Buddh International Circuit (BIC) is an international motor racing circuit, situated in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The racing track is well known as the venue for Formula One Indian Grand Prix, which was organised in 2011. This 5.14 km long circuit was inaugurated on October 18, 2011 and was designed by a renowned German racetrack designer and architect, Herman Tilke, who is also credited for designing other world-class racing tracks in Malaysia, China, Bahrain, Turkey, UAE, South Korea and US.

BIC happens to be the first racing track in the country and 68th across the world. The first race on this circuit was organised on October 30, 2011. The track features good straights, elevation changes and quick corners. Average time at the lap is anticipated to be somewhere around 1 min and 24 seconds, which makes it one of the top five speedy tracks of the world. These statistics state that the top speed of F1 cars at BIC lies somewhere round 330 kmph or even more.

The circuit is a part of 2,500 acres of Jaypee Greens Sports City, which also comprises a cricket stadium that can accommodate 100,000 viewers; an 18-hole golf course and a hockey stadium that can seat 25,000 individuals. It must be noted that the F1 track is not completely dedicated to the formula one race as it can also organise MotoGP and Superbike races.
