The capabilities of Range Rover Sport Hybrid model have been well demonstrated and now Land Rover has teamed up with Airstream for an adventure trip to the Arctic Circle. The first premium diesel in the world has been travelling 2500 miles to the cold-weather test Arjeplog, Sweden and then move ahead to the Arctic Circle. The car was towing approximately 13.1 metre long rig in the devastating temperatures, which varied from -39 degree Celsius to -42 degree Celsius. The car was successfully able to apply brakes on each of its wheels.

Ben Samuelson, Team leader, said, “We were closely watching the long range weather forecasts before we set off but nothing prepared us for how bad it got. However, time after time, it was only as we got out of the car that we realised quite how treacherous it was outside.”

The car is able to pave its way easily through the icy hills and dangerously snowy track. Surprisingly, the car was able to manoeuvre through the tracks without any problems. Phil Talboys, said, “The Range Rover Sport Hybrid has gone through the same gruelling test and development regime that all our cars do. This journey just goes to show that the Range Rover Sport Hybrid is pure hybrid – with all the capability and versatility that you’d expect from a Land Rover.”
