Despite the heavy camouflage, especially at the rear, one can easily spot the aggressively raked windows and the sloping roofline which indicate the coupe design. It’s obvious that this model will not turn out to be as practical as the regular versions as the boot is smaller, there’s lesser headroom, and it will be more expensive to buy too.

Nevertheless, what it does gain through the sloping roofline, is the unmistakeable coupe stance which looks gorgeous. Other car makers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz have also given this design a shot, as can be seen in the X6/X4 and GLC/GLE coupe versions.

Reports suggest that the ‘Sport coupe’ will borrow the aluminium-extensive construction and suspension setup from the Jaguar F-Pace to make it a more road-focused vehicle. Though the powerplants for the new model will be shared with the regular versions, expect a hybrid to be introduced in the line-up with inputs from the Jaguar I-Pace.

Land Rover may debut the Range Rover Sport coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017, so stay tuned to CarTrade for more information in the time to come.
