Rohit Suri, Head of Premier Car Division, Jaguar Land Rover India said that the company was immensely exuberant and charged up after registering the CNBC TV18 Overdrive's Import SUV of the Year Award under its name.

As the award comes on the heels of receiving various accolades for defining technology and design in an all new way, the auto market would definitely get wind of Range Rover Evoque's unparalleled class. He added that this award, along with firming the company's position in the Indian market, would offer a strong push to its growth in the country.

The Range Rover Evoque was adjudged the clear winner for the Import SUV of the Year category. Its bold and class-apart design, along with a creative technology that is advanced, futuristic and appropriate to use, allowed the SUV to have an upper hand during the competition. The team of panellists included the senior editorial team of Overdrive, accompanied by industry experts, FIA GP2 racer Armaan Ebrahim, President of FMSCI Vicky Chandok and National Motorcycling Champion Sarath Kumar.

5-time INRC winner Hari Singh and Gaurav Gill, WRC driver, also contributed in rendering the decision and specifically appreciated its Terrain Response. This technology has been mated to Range Rover Evoque's engine, transmission and electronic systems for the purpose of enhancing its handling, comfort and power.

Thus, Evoque would irrefutably find a place in the car maker's most successful products list till date and bring immense popularity to the brand in the near time.
