      Range Rover Evoque convertible revealed ahead of Los Angeles motor show 2015

      Los Angeles motor show 2015 has been the preferred venue for global automakers to showcase their fresh line-up. Moving away from the conventional practice, JLR has just unveiled the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible just ahead of the well known international event. The company has released the fresh images of the vehicle on test. It is believed that the company may launch the Evoque Convertible across international markets and could be up on sale from 2016. The company may offer it in top-of-the-line Dynamic and Dynamic HSE variants.

      Under the hood, the Range Rover Evoque convertible gets 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version generates about 234bhp, while the diesel returns about 178bhp. The convertible would be offered as four-wheel-drive model. The vehicle is stated to be about 270kgs more heavier than the standard version. Interestingly, driver can get the roof-top raised and opened in just about 20 seconds while clocking speeds of up to 48km/h.

      Apart from ample space for occupants, the vehicle also gets pop-up roll-bar system that reduces risk in case of a roll-over. Additionally, it could also be offered with airbags, ABS with EBD and roll-control features. More details on the technical aspects and pricing shall be known at a later date.
