The Range Rover Evoque Convertible has made its entry into the Indian market with style. Land Rover has launched this open-top SUV at Rs 69.53 lakhs for the HSE Dynamic trim.

This is the first compact luxury convertible SUV to GO on sale in India. This top-down version of the Evoque is pitted to be the most luxurious and capable convertible SUV based on the latest iteration of the Evoque. Apart from its versatile capabilities, the SUV's main highlight is the soft-top electrically operated fabric convertible roof. This roof can be operated in around 20 seconds when the SUV is travelling at speeds of up to 48kmph. Wind deflector fixing points are provided for the option of a wind deflector to reduce air draft. There's also a pop-up roll-bar system which deploys for protection during a rollover risk.

Jaguar Land Rover is offering the Range Rover Evoque Convertible in the fully-loaded HSE Dynamic trim for the Indian market. It’s packed with features like Adaptive Xenon headlights with signature LED lamps, approach and puddle lights, power fold and heated door mirrors with memory functionality and rain-sensing windscreen wipers. Then, there's keyless entry, front parking aid, 360 surround camera, configurable ambient interior lighting and illuminated aluminium front tread plates with a Range Rover script feature. All the seats are draped in perforated windsor leather, while the front seats are 12-way electrically adjustable and get memory function as well. Entertainment needs are taken care of by a 10-inch touchscreen with Navigation Pro and Meridian Surround Sound System with 12 speakers and a subwoofer.

On the powertrain front, the carmaker’s Si4 petrol engine that also powers the Velar will now be seen in the Range Rover Evoque Convertible. This tried-and-tested 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder petrol mill churns out 237bhp and 340Nm of torque. It comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission sending power to all the wheels. The car can achieve a max speed of 217kmph and sprint from 0-100kmph in 8.1 seconds.

The Range Rover convertible first caught people’s attention back in November 2015 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle has been introduced in many countries since then and is now available to book in India as well.
