      Price rise has become a common phenomenon in the Indian automobile market now as companies are not willing to compensate on their respective revenue levels. In recent times, famous car makers like Audi and BMW have announced rise in prices of their entire product ranges. According to recent reports, manufacturers of bikes are also going for hikes in the cost of a few models. Bajaj Auto, one of the largest companies in the Indian market, has made an announcement, wherein it has raised the price of KTM Duke 390, a sports bike that was launched this year. KTM, the Austria-based manufacturer, sells its bikes through dealerships of Baja Auto in India. According to reports, this motorcycle will now cost over Rs. 6000 more than its introductory price.

      KTM Duke 390 has been one of the most hyped motorcycles of 2013, earning a lot of praise from industry experts for its technical proficiency and value-for-money. The entire package of this bike is loaded with features that enhance performance and improve efficiency. KTM is slightly ahead of other premium bike manufacturers in India and has benefited a lot from Bajaj's popularity in the country. However, slowly and steadily, other firms like Harley-Davidson and Triumph, a recent entrant, are making inroads in the country. Experts feel that these are good signs for the industry in general and it will help India mark a presence on the global level.
