      Toyota has planed to unveil the newer version of its hot-selling sedan the Corolla Altis at the Auto Expo 2014. The car was recently launched in the Indonesian market and has been stated to perform well. For now, the Corolla Altis has been introduced in a Petrol version and is available in two variants. As per sources, this sedan is based on Furia concept car, its wheelbase has been extended by 100mm, which makes it slightly longer and wider than the current existing version.

      The latest version of the Toyota Corolla Atis shall be powered by 1.8 litre petrol engine that delivers maximum power output of 151PS and 190Nm of top torque. It is anticipated that the car may be mated to a four-speed automatic transmission or be used on six-speed manual transmission. The standard version of the car shall feature Touch-screen navigation, Air conditioning, Electronic Brake distribution, Anti-lock braking sytem, dual airbags, Brake assist and many more interesting features. The automatic model is equipped with LED daytime running lights, Climatronic control, rain sensing wipers, leather wrapped steering, and other interesting features.

      The Volvo S60 D4 made its debut in India way back in 2011. Back then, this muscular machine was considered to be one of the sportier sedan from the Volvo-line up. Given the current tough competition from the German brands, the Swedish luxury car maker has introduced a face-lifted version of S60 D4 sedan and XC60 SUV in the Indian automotive market.

      The changes in the new Volvo S60 D4 are mainly cosmetic in nature. Starting with the exteriors, the front looks more mainframe than it was earlier. Slimmer headlamps have been introduced, bonnets feature stronger ridges, grills are bolder and wider. Moreover, the daytime running lights have also been repositioned and the front bumpers have been redesigned. A couple-like profile has been retained in a fashion that the C-pillar extends to the tail lights. The dashboard has also been worked upon with an attractive digital display, backlit buttons and displays, and it also features fresh chrome accents. The floating central console is quite attractive and unique, and practical in its own regard. A dash of excitement and brightness that was long due in the interiors have now been catered to in the new S60 D4.

      Both the cars superb handlers in every condition. For now, the Corolla Altis is available only in Petrol version, whereas Diesel maybe introduced down the line. The Volvo S60 D4 is available only in diesel version. For buyers interested to invest over 18 lakhs, you may consider buying either of these.
