      The Ranjangoan facility in Pune is the new address where all the action takes place for India's popular carmaker Tata Motors. The Indian carmaker has recently begun the production for the Zest sedan at its popular Pune facility. Tata Motors has faced a lot of criticism in the past over its outdated looks and not-so-modern technology. The upcoming Bolt hatchback and Zest sedan are expected to aid Tata Motors in reclaiming its hot-spot in the sedan and hatchback segment. Bookings for the Zest sedan began a while ago and interested buyers can book their desired Zest sedan online on Tata Motors’ official website for a token amount of Rs 21,000. On the other hand Hyundai Xcent has been among the few cars in the country that has seen enormous success right from the time it had been launched in the country. Hyundai Xcent has been stated by the company as a world class product that is designed and developed for the Indian market. Hyundai as a brand name has been known to deliver a product that meets high standards of quality, durability and reliability. Hyundai Xcent has been a pure charmer on Indian roads. The sedan is stated to be loaded with interesting set of features that makes it a complete value for money buy in the sub 4-meter sedan category.

      The Hyundai Xcent sedan is available in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol version is powered by 1.2 Litre Kappa dual VTVT engine, whereas the diesel version shall be powered by 1.1litre U2 technology engine. The Hyundai Xcent is placed in straight line of competition with the likes of Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze. The petrol variant of the sedan is available with an automatic transmission apart from a regular manual transmission version, whereas diesel variant is only available in manual transmission version. The sedan has been quite popular ever since it was introduced about 2 months ago in the country. Since its launch, Hyundai has already sold about 7000 units in the country.

      Hyundai has also given much importance to safety of the occupants. The production version is expected to be loaded with Anti-lock braking system, rear defogger, dual airbags, central locking, rear parking assist and central locking. The newly launched Hyundai Xcent sedan has been launched in the Indian market with an attractive price tag of 4.66 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The diesel version is offered at a starting price of Rs 5.56 Lakh.

      The Zest sedan from Tata shall be powered by a 1.2 Litre MPFI Turbocharged petrol Revotron engine that generates about 83bhp of power with 140Nm of torque. The sedan shall also be available in a diesel variant and shall be powered by a VGT 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine that generates about 89 Bhp. Both the engines have been mated to a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission gearbox. The Automated Gear Shifter feature on the diesel version shall earn Zest the title of being cheapest automatic diesel sedan in the country. Tata Zest has been made a reality owing to valuable design inputs received from three Tata Motors design studios located in Coventry (UK), Turin (Italy) and Pune (India).

      The car is stylish and looks better in every regard in comparison to its older counterparts. Post launch, the Zest sedan is definitely worth buy with improved technology and quality performance unit from Tata Motors. Tata Motors has not spoken about the pricing aspect yet, but it is anticipated that the sedan may be priced under Rs. 7.0 lakhs segment. The Drivenext philosophy features F-Tronic Automated manual transmission technology. The car is loaded with safety features like feature ABS, EPAS, speed sensitive power steering and Active Return function. The car shall also get next generation Harman infotainment system that lets you access your entire collection of videos, music and more on the 5 inch touchscreen. The car gets best in class width and wheelbase of about 2470mm, thereby giving more headroom to its occupants.
