Globally renowned sports carmaker Porsche is reportedly working on expanding its network in India. Reports indicate the automaker is considering introducing more cars in India and also focusing on having more dealerships. With more Porsche dealerships likely to be inaugurated in coming months, it will also mean that customers will get more service facilities in the country.

The sports carmaker will follow a strict process while giving out dealerships and will take time to allocate them. A stringent norm will help the brand ensure that the customer lay their trust on the brand without a second thought. Back in 2015, IHS Automotive report indicates that luxury vehicle sales in India stood at 35,300 units, which is expected to grow up to 87,300 units by 2020. Owing to growing competition, the careful analysis for handing out Porsche dealerships will help the brand grow in the long run.

As of now, Porsche has about six dealerships and eight service centres in the country at major cities including Mumbai, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi. Recently, Porsche opened bookings for the 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster, which are priced at Rs80.13 lakh and Rs 83.95 lakh respectively (both ex- showroom Mumbai). In the coming months, the sports carmaker will be introducing more models from its global line-up in India.
