The Germany based leading luxury car maker Porsche is expecting to receive over 100 orders from its recently inaugurated showroom in the city of Ahmedabad. The Porsche Center in Ahmedabad is the sixth such dealership of Porsche in the India market as the company already has 5 showrooms in the Indian market including New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Chandigarh.
The Ahmedabad dealership of Porsche is spread over a large area including 4,200 sq ft of showroom space and 30,000 sq ft for service area. The entire product range of Porsche in India will be lined-up at this showroom, where sales consultant will be permanently available to attend customer’s enquiries.
Speaking at the occasion of the launch of new Ahmedabad facility of the firm, Ashish Chordia, Chief Executive of Precision Cars India Private Limited, said, "Ahmedabad and Surat are very strong markets in Gujarat. In fact, the whole of Gujarat offers a good opportunity for the luxury segment in automobiles. Plus, in India, the average life span of a luxury car for an Indian customer is just two years. While we have received 20 orders so far in Ahmedabad, by December 2012 we expect to do sales in triple digits from Gujarat."
The company is hoping to sell 300 cars in the Indian market this year as compared to 134 units sold in the same month last year.
