      Porsche 911 Targa - A sleek and impressive performer on tarmac

      Earlier this month popular sports carmaker Porsche has launched the Porsche 911 Targa in the Indian market. The company launched two variants for the domestic market namely - 911 Targa 4S and 911 Targa 4. The vehicles seem to be sharing some resemblance with the original model that was launched way back in 1965. The new trim gets a movable roof section above the front seats and the B-Pillar has been replaced with a wide bar. Sensors have also been added at the back to identify obstacles if any.

      The newly launched Porsche 911 Targa is available in two engine trims, wherein the Targa 4 is powered by 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine that generates an impressive maximum power output of about 350 bhp along with a peak torque output of about 390 Nm. The more powerful Targa 4S is reportedly powered by 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine that efficiently generates about 400 bhp of power with 440 Nm of torque. The company has also offered an optional powerkit with the Targa 4S that is capable of delivering an enhanced power output of about 30 Bhp. Targa 4 attains clocks 0 – 100 km/hr in just about 4.8 seconds, whereas the 4S is capable of attaining 0 – 100 km/he in just about 4.4 seconds. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission powers all the wheels of the vehicle.

      The Porsche 911 Targa is launched for Rs. 1.59 crore, whereas the 911 Targa 4S is offered at Rs. 1.785 crore. With impressive performance figures and sleek styling, the vehicle shall indeed be a hotseller in the Indian market.
