Skoda’s facelifted Rapid has been launched in Mumbai at Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra), and will compete with the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen’s Vento. Here are some pictures that will show you what is new on Skoda’s latest offering.
Skoda’s facelifted Rapid looks distinctive thanks to the butterfly grille, sharp and angular bonnet, a honeycomb grille, ‘quartz cut’ projector headlamps with DRLs and rectangular fog lamps with matte black trim in between.
The rear section highlights the smoked C-shaped tail lamps, a chrome mould that surrounds the boot lid, and an integrated spoiler.
It also gets a dual tone ebony sand trim, footwell illumination, seats with either nano ivory fabric upholstery or perforated leatherette, 2-Din 6.5-inch colour touchscreen with MirrorLink connectivity, Bluetooth, usb and aux.
Skoda’s latest Rapid will continue using the same engines and gearboxes but the 1.5-litre diesel mill will now make 110bhp (earlier 105bhp), while all other details remain the same.
