Parth Ghorpade, the young participant of Formula Pilota 2012 Championship, has reported his maiden win in the race 1 of Round 4 Championship at the Guangdong International Circuit. The talented driver stormed the fastest qualifying time as he was over five seconds ahead of the second fastest driver and grabbed the pole position. He also led race 3 till the last and registered his second winning stand in the entire weekend. Interestingly, the other finishers on podium were his Eurasia Motorsport team mates, Sean Galeal and Antonio Giovinazzi, who were sharing the limelight.

Excitedly expressing his views after winning Race 1, Parth quoted, “This has been an amazing weekend for me and the most dominant race of my career. Every driver dreams of qualifying on pole, setting the fastest lap and winning the race so the result is perfect for me. The start was important and once I was ahead I tried to pull away as much as possible. I would like to thank Eurasia for giving me a great car this weekend. We still have two more race weekends in Sepang to go so will give it my all. A special thank you to my sponsors Karvy without whom I would not be here.”

With his win in Race 1, Parth moved to third rank in the overall championship ratings, in spite of the fact that he finished slightly lower in the order at 8th place in Race 2. The reason citing his lower rank stated that he was hit by Ren Nagabuchi from the back at the first corner and thus, he has to recover from that break, which took a long time.

Parth, the five time National Karting Champion, further said that this win is probably his biggest benchmark in the international racing career and has pinned hopes to make it first among the others. He further said that his team has remained close in many races but did not managed to emerge as top position holder in the at the end.
