Porsche has announced a worldwide recall for its sporty SUV model, the Cayenne. The recall has been initiated over issues relating to the bearing bracket for the pedals. It involves 409,477 units of the Cayenne made between 2011 and 2016.
According to Porsche, the circlip could be loose on the bearing bracket for pedals and as a preventive measure; the correct assembly will be checked in the workshop. The problem was found during internal inspections and remedied in the ongoing series.
Porsche has revealed that the entire recall process will take less than half an hour individually. Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted directly by the Porsche dealer responsible for them.
