The die hard enthusiasts of the 2012 Formula One Airtel Indian Grand Prix now have the option to either choose from the usual three day tickets or single Race Day tickets of the global event. The 2012 edition of the Indian F1 Grand Prix will be held between October 26 and 28 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida near New Delhi.

The availability of single day tickets will not hurt much the pockets of the Formula One sport enthusiasts, those who plan to witness all the action of the nerve wrenching contest live at the circuit. The first and second day of the event are utilised for practise sessions and qualifying sessions, respectively, while the third day is reserved for the final race.

The most economical ticket is priced at Rs. 2,000 for the Race Day on October 28, 2012 from the natural picnic stands of BIC, whereas the same ticket for the three day season spectacle costs Rs. 3,000. Further, the tickets for the Main Grand stand of the BIC cost the most money and can be purchased for an amount of Rs. 12,000. However, those who wish to capture each and every moment of the three day nerve clincher from the Grand stand of the BIC will have to shell out a sum of Rs. 21,000 from their pockets. It is to be noted that each ticket also covers a permit for parking a single vehicle within the premises of the BIC.

Evidently, last year the F1 enthusiasts were offered with the most economical ticket being priced at Rs. 2,500 and thus, as compared to previous edition there is some cheer among the fans. Last year the Indian F1 Grand Prix had its first edition and the organisers had priced the Grand stand tickets at a mammoth tag of Rs. 35,000, which chased the motorsport lovers away. Owing to sluggish sales, the organisers then had to curtail the Race Day Grand stand ticket price by more than half to Rs. 15,000. Hence, this year the global motorsport event is expected to attract a huge number of spectators as compared to the previous edition.

Expressing his delight at the availability of single day Formula One Airtel Indian Grand Prix passes to the general public, Sameer Gaur, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jaypee Sports International Limited said, “We are glad to announce the exciting one day passes for the second edition of the Indian Grand Prix. F1 fans can avail these much awaited single day passes to experience the thrill and adrenaline of the race day. With the special prices and much improved facilities of the BIC, we believe that motorsport fans will enjoy the high paced excitement of the sport.”

The tickets for Premium stand of the BIC are priced at Rs. 7,500 for the single day and Rs. 10,000 for the three day period, besides the Star stand costs Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 7,500 for one day and three days, respectively. Further, the single day and three days charges for the tickets of the Classic stand are Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 6,000, in the order of their mention.
