The Jamaican born Bolt's gold coloured track and field gear is immortalised on the new 2013 Nissan sports car that has been given the namesake – 'Bolt Gold' GT-R. The highest bidder in the online charity auction will become a proud owner of an unique article, which is going to be a prized possession for lifetime. Further, all proceeds generated from the Bolt GT-R's auction will be offered to the 'Usain Bolt Foundation', which support and takes care of educational and cultural conveniences of the world's most popular sprinter's native country of Jamaica.

Reportedly, Nissan appointed Usain as its brand ambassador in June 2012 and recently, the Japanese auto major gave him the title of 'Director of excitement' for its 'What if' worldwide brand campaign. The 2013 Nissan Bolt Gold GT-R features a gold plate embossed with Usain's autograph and a number plate saying 'Mr. Bolt'.

Expressing his delight at the upcoming Nissan Bolt Gold GT-R's online bidding, Usain Bolt said, “This project excites me because it brings together my passion for speed and excellence, and my desire to help kids and young people. Thanks to Nissan, all the revenue from the GT-R charity auction will be donated to the Usain Bolt Foundation, which will go directly to children to help develop their education and allow them to participate in sports. It warms my heart to help kids and young people who are in the starting blocks of life, and it would be wonderful if someday this activity leads to a 'Second Bolt'."
