      Once again, Chandigarh cop gets dragged on car bonnet

      A while ago internet surfers had stumbled across a video posted by unknown sources on the internet of a cop being dragged over a bonnet in Chandigarh. For the second time, a similar incident of cop being dragged on the car bonnet by a rouge driver has been reported in Chandigarh. The victim, a policeman had been dragged to about 200 meters when he tried to block the vehicle trying to jump a barricade in a prominent industrial area in the city.

      The incident happened on Saturday, when Constable Sandeep Kumar tried to intercept the vehicle as it has tinted glass which is illegal as per law. Post hitting the constable the driver did not stop and kept driving for about 200 meters before hitting a motorcyclist who tried to stop the car. The biker reportedly is unhurt. The police constable is admitted to a local hospital and is reportedly out of danger.

      It is said that three occupants had been travelling in the vehicle. The driver has been identified as Tanvinder Singh, who has been arrested at the spot. Whereas, two others namely Gagandeep Singh and Jitender Singh have managed to flee from the spot, but shall be arrested soon. All three occupants in the car are reportedly from Sirhind in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
